Chia seed crackers

Crackers have never been as easy to make as these crunchy little morsels.

Method

  1. Place pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and sesame seeds in a food processor and blend until they resemble coarse breadcrumbs
  2. Place in a bowl with chia seeds, salt and water and mix
  3. Leave covered for approximately 30 minutes
  4. Heat oven to 160°C
  5. Spread mixture out on a greased oven tray to approximately 5mm thick
  6. Score with a knife to make breaking the crackers easier and more uniform or leave unscored if you like uneven crackers
  7. Bake for approximately 1 ½ hours or until crisp and golden brown
  8. Remove from oven and allow to cool on the tray
  9. Break apart and store in an airtight container
