Board seeks expressions of interest – Non-Executive Directors

The Heart Foundation Board is seeking expressions of interest for Non-Executive Directors.

Board members provide strategic guidance and oversight, ensuring that the Heart Foundation achieves its vision and charitable purpose. 

Other responsibilities include financial oversight and ambassadorship, risk management and stakeholder engagement. 

Strategic thinking, commercial acumen and sound decision-making skills are key, and appointees will demonstrate excellent communication skills, high levels of personal integrity and a commitment to the principles of good corporate citizenship. 

Directors will also understand risk assessment and contingency management. Areas of expertise that are advantageous include cardiology, accountancy, and public health skills as well as those with an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
