Round the Bays charity partnership announced

The Heart Foundation are thrilled to have been selected as the official charity for the Ports of Auckland Round the Bays 2022, the largest fun run in New Zealand, on Sunday 6 March 2022.

In the 50th year of this iconic event, the Heart Foundation will receive an incredible $50,000 donation and a $50,000 Stuff media package as the chosen charity.

The event hosts around 34,000 runners and walkers each year, who complete the 8.4km course from downtown Auckland to St Heliers.

We’re excited to do our part in helping to bring people together from different communities, cultures and workplaces, across all ages and abilities in one spectacular mass of colour and pride. Those interested in taking part in this renowned event can sign up here.

The Heart Foundation will also be represented via a team of volunteers on the day, helping to provide water at stations along Auckland’s waterfront.

The Heart Foundation is proud to be involved in such an iconic event and with one New Zealander dying from heart disease every 90 minutes, funds raised will allow us to continue to improve heart health and save lives.
