
Beef with black bean sauce
A super tasty and healthy stir-fry recipe

Method
Sauce
- Heat first measure of oil in a wok or large frying pan.
- Add fermented black beans, garlic and ginger and sautee briefly.
- Add oyster sauce, water, soy sauce, rice wine, brown sugar, sesame oil and vinegar.
- Bring to a boil.
- Mix cornflour with a little water to form a paste.
- Gradually stir cornflour mixture into sauce until it thickens.
- Remove from heat and reserve sauce for later.
Stir-fry
- Heat second measure of oil in wok or large frying pan.
- Add sliced beef and brown all over.
- Remove beef from the wok and set aside.
- Add capsicum, onion, beans, spring onion, shiitake mushrooms and carrots to wok and stir-fry until cooked.
- Add beef and sauce back to vegetables in the wok and heat through.
- Remove from heat and serve.
